Writer's Block 5 is the 2007 sophomore album Harlem native, JR Writer, boasting an entrenched affiliation with the renowned Dipset/Diplomat crew. The follow-up to 2006's debut release History In The Making, JR emerges from the shadow of the Dips with a little help from some A-list guest appearances. Writer's Block 5 has built upon JR's numerous appearances on frontline albums and mixtapes from the Diplomats (Diplomatic Immunity 2, More Than Music Vol. 2), Cam'ron (Purple Haze), Juelz Santana (From Me To You), and Jim Jones (On My Way To Church & Harlem: Diary of a Summer), cementing JR's status in New York inflected street rap.
