If Andre 3000, Marvin Gaye and Pharrell WIlliams had a lovechild, who grew up in Los Angeles in the 90's, his name would be Polyester. After receiving his first keyboard at 13 as a gift from Stevie Wonder, Poly has grown into an incredibly diverse producer and artist, who has a knack for crafting beautiful soul-influenced indie-hop. He has made his name working with some of the best and brightest new emcees on the west coast: he produced over half of Dom Kennedy's celebrated mixtape "From The West Side With Love," as well as creating tracks for E-40, Too $hort, Pac Div, L.A.U.S.D., Skeme, U-N-I, and more. Polyester debut album "P.L.U.R." was entirely produced by him with co-production from Brook D'leau (J*Davey) and featuring guest appearances from Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies and more, "P.L.U.R." embodies it's meaning of peace, love, unity and respect. |
