Raised between the small African nation of Togo without running water, and the capital of the world's richest country, Washington D.C., Tabi Bonney's world-view is unlike any other emcee's. Son of famed Afro-Funk musician Itadi Bonney, Tabi has been around music his entire life. Rapping since high school with his first group Organized Rhyme, he had success opening for such artists as Cam'Ron, Outkast, and LL Cool J. Refusing to settle for second best, Tabi gained steady momentum as a solo artist when his hit song "The Pocket" dropped. Tabi debut album "Fly Guy" secured him a coveted spot on MTV's Sucker Free Countdown without a label deal, publicist or proper distrubtion. With over 2 million Youtube views, and 2 million MySpace plays his new album "Fresh" is going to blow any competition away. "Fresh" features Estelle, Pusha T (Clipse), Wale and more, as well as production from Ski Beatz, Grammy award winning producer Devo Springsteen, Grammy nominated Kokayi, Multi-Platinum Rich Harrison and more. |
